Interesting read-but I saw little regarding the etiology of the trend. Are mega-pastors burning out-are they not getting enough support/care/”pastoring” of themselves,are they resting or taking days off, do they have too much autonomy, is there not a loving and caring support system/board that gently limits their scope of responsibilities? Are mega-pastors pressured or self-pressured to “produce” more than other pastors? I doubt most mega-dudes would be willing to freely discuss the issue of burnout, but IMHO its gotta be part of the discussion or mix.
